MinaccaTechnology, the 4th subsidiary of Afro-Zonke Group was established in 2018. The subsidiary consists of 3 business units, namely (1) 10 000 MT per annum plant to manufacture various industrial grades of activated carbon from coconut shell-based charcoal, (2) Granular sulphur blending plant for the mining, pulp & paper and process chemicals, (3) Lube Refinery Division that will produce fuel heating oil, degreasers, greases and lubricants from used and base oils.
The plant is situated in Richards Bay, KwaZulu Natal Province and its business unit one will be commissioned towards end of 2023 and the rest of the other two business units will follow in FY 2024-25.
