Mr. Sthembiso Khumalo Project Director
Sthembiso Khumalo holds a MSc Construction Project Management, B-Tech Civil Engineering from Queensland University and Natal University of Technology respectively, and successfully completed various contract administration courses: GCC, JBBC, NEC, FIDIC and Conflict Resolution and Arbitration Certificate. Sthembiso has over Twenty-Five (25) years’ experience in the designing, project implantation, project development and packaging, construction project management of muilti-disciplinary projects. Sthembiso’s initial employment was with AECOM formerly known as BKS Engineering and Management for over eight (8) years and Group Five Civils for (3) years and Public Sector for (3) years.
He subsequently founded TLS Engineers and Project Managers a professional service consultant that he successfully run as managing director for over 12 years, specializing in muilti-disciplinary consulting engineering services to mention but a few: civil, stormwater management, transportation, roads, water and sanitation and structural engineering services etc.
Mr Khumalo recently joined Afro-Zonke as its Group’s Project Director, his responsibilities include but not limited to:
Project Initiation and Packaging including all associated studies.
- Project Feasibility and Viability
- Ensure availability of project Infrastructure Confirmation
- Site identification and suitability studies (Geotechnical Investigation, Environmental)
- Advising executives in project technical viability based on available infrastructure, suitability of land, and other related studies.
Project Risk Analysis and Mitigation
Project Costing and Budgeting
Project design management, implementation, and commissioning
In addition, Mr Khumalo is responsible for both local and international project development and packaging for the Afro-Zonke Group.
